Wonderful thatched pub in a village which only has one road in. The pub sign is made out of nails and is worth a visit alone. The Chequered Skipper is also the venue for the World Conker Championships, held in October. Although Oak beamed and flagstone floored the Skipper has all that you would expect from a modern contempory inn such as being Wi-Fi enabled. The Chequered Skipper offers high quality food using local suppliers along with a range of real ales. |
