Delightful 18th century, family run inn with a very friendly welcome. The Burlton could be called 'tucked away' even though it lies on the A458 Shrewsbury to Wrexham road. The A458 runs roughly parallel with the better known A5 London to Holyhead road and is consequently much quieter, however it is well worth the detour. The food at the Burlton is of exceptional quality and all cooked from local ingredients. Complimented by a good wine list and excellent quality real ales, the Burlton is an inn where quality service is paramount. |

| The High Street, Grinshill, Shropshire SY4 3BL. Tel: 01939 220410 |
Absolutely delightful 17th Century country inn located in the shadow of the rocky outcrop Corbet Wood. First impression of the Inn at Grinshill is a rather imposing Georgian building but once inside, this multi roomed, split level inn oozes quality. The food is magnificent, the ales are extremely well kept and there is an extensive wine list. From the leather sofa's in the timber panelled bar through to the tastefully decorated modern dining areas, you would expect an expensive and chilly atmosphere but exactly the opposite is the case. The kitchen is open to the main restaurant which makes for a fascinating time watching the chef's at work. There are many positive aspects to the Inn at Grinshill but all are overshadowed by one thing. The service from each and every member of staff is second to none which ensures that a visit here is a very pleasant experience. |
