Wiltshire

Click the map for tourism ideas Wiltshire is an inland county consisting, in large part, of a chalk upland region, which includes the Marlborough Downs in the north and the green expanse of Salisbury Plain in the south. The huge chalk figures cut into the hillsides are a curious feature of the landscape. Wiltshire is notably rich in archaeological remains, and the Neolithic monuments of Stonehenge and Avebury are regarded as Britain's most important prehistoric sites.
